We are currently seeking participants for a new fingerprint study. If you are interested, please sign up at and follow the link to our appointment software. You can select a time that fits your schedule. Please see the information below. If you have additional questions, please contact me. We hope to see you soon.

We are looking for 250 people 18 and older to participate in a paid Fingerprint Study. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the force applied by a subject's finger and the resulting fingerprint image quality, system performance and subject comfort.

What do I need to do? The study is very easy. During your visit:

  1. basic demographic information will be collected from you.
  2. You will be trained how to use an optical fingerprint sensor.
  3. You will interact with the sensor using varying levels of force (auto, 5N, 7N, 9N, 11N, 13N) and images will be collected in the form of a right and left hand slap print (index, middle, ring, and little finger together) and the left and right thumb separately. In total, 72 images will be collected.
  4. Lastly, you will be asked questions about your experiences and comfort interacting with the sensor at the different force levels.

Study Duration: 1 visit lasting approximately 30 minutes

Study Location: Knoy Hall of Technology, BSPA Lab, Room 378.

Registration: To register for an appointment, please Visit

Compensation: $10 upon completion of the study.

Contact: If you would like more information, please contact myself - ude.eudrup|alukuk#ude.eudrup|alukuk or Steve Elliott - ude.eudrup|ttoille#ude.eudrup|ttoille
